Outcast Goes Green

Published On: March 12, 2012

You may have read that Outcast is going green. We are partnering with ECOtality to launch the nation’s largest digital network at Blink® electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. As production and demand for electric vehicles continues to grow, there are several new EV options available this year, and we are excited to deliver our engaging content to this new and growing segment of savvy, trendsetting EV owners.

According to a study by Deloitte in October 2011, EV Owners in the United States tend to be:

  • Urban and suburban dwellers
  • Highly educated middle to upper class
  • Men more than women
  • Consider themselves: environmentally conscious, tech savvy, trendsetting and politically active
  • For them EV is ‘cool and stylish’

This initiative is very important to us because we believe in supporting the environment wherever and whenever we can, whether it means recycling in the office or providing targeted programming for the Blink charging stations, we want to do our part in ways both big and small. And as the Blink network grows in 2012, and new EV models are introduced, we will continue to evolve our content to meet the needs of this sophisticated audience.

Check out the March 2012 issue of House Beautiful magazine, the Blink charging station is featured and highlights how EV owners will be able to plug in, recharge, and of course take in engaging Outcast content from CBS, ABC, Flixster, Fox News and Extra while they are out and about.
